You do not need a subscription to see your report. Under the RBI's directions every bureau must give you one free full credit report, including your score, once in each calendar year — and it must be reachable from the bureau's own home page.

Yes. RBI's directions require each bureau to give one free full credit report including the credit score, once a year (January–December), in electronic form on request and after authentication. Bureaus may charge for further reports in the same year.
No. It is not a lender enquiry, and there is no adverse entry for checking your own credit. That is precisely why requesting your own report is the safe way to monitor your file.
All four, once each during the year — you cannot know which bureau a given lender will use, and the reports can hold different data. Claim them at intervals rather than all at once.
The entitlement resets each calendar year; additional reports in the same year may be charged. If you need to dispute an entry in the meantime, you can file the dispute without buying a report — and correcting inaccurate information is free.
