Method
How to read these numbers
- Sessions, not ticks. IBJA publishes an AM and a PM benchmark on working days; jewellers and funds reference these for the day. Intraday moves between sessions are not captured here.
- Ex-GST, ex-making. Published rates exclude 3% GST and any making charges — the price you pay adds both, which the jewellery calculator models.
- Carats are fineness. 24K = 999 fine, 22K = 916, 18K = 750, 14K = 585; non-24K rates derive from the 24K rate at those ratios.
- Source chain. Figures mirror official IBJA releases via the public ibja-api mirror (no affiliation); framework facts on this hub reviewed 2026-09-20.
