Credit Cards

Credit Score (CIBIL)

3-digit number (300–900) summarising your creditworthiness.

Your credit score, usually the CIBIL score in India, predicts repayment behaviour from your borrowing and payment history. Higher scores unlock better cards and lower loan rates; payment history and utilisation ratio move it most. Most issuers want 750+ for premium cards.

Example

A 780 CIBIL with on-time payments gets premium approvals; a 620 struggles for even basic cards.
