Trade journal

The day's trades through the real cost stack — gross P&L is not what lands in the account.

Today's trades — up to three

Brokerage assumed ₹20 per order. Rows are kept in this page's URL only — nothing is uploaded.

No trades entered yet

Fill quantity, buy and sell on the left to cost the day.

What this calculator answers

A round number on the P&L column hides the cost stack. Enter a day's trades and the journal shows what actually lands in the account: brokerage, STT, exchange transaction charges, SEBI turnover fees, stamp duty, DP charges and 18% GST, and how much of the gross profit they ate.

How it is calculated

Each row runs through the same per-trade cost function the brokerage calculator uses — brokerage per order plus the statutory stack by segment (STT rates differ for intraday, delivery, futures and options), with 18% GST on brokerage and exchange charges. Net P&L is gross P&L minus that total, and break-even points is the per-unit move that covers the charges.

NSE rates and a ₹20 per-order brokerage assumption — change it to your broker's actual slab. DP charges are applied on delivery sells. This is an estimate from prices you type in, not a reconciliation against a contract note, and nothing you enter leaves your browser.

Common questions

Why do charges differ by segment?

STT is levied on different bases: on both sides for delivery, on the sell side only for intraday, on the sell for futures, and as a percentage of premium for options. Exchange and SEBI charges differ with it, so the same notional costs very different amounts in different segments.

Is my data saved anywhere?

No. The rows live in this page's URL so you can share or bookmark the exact day, and nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.

What is break-even points telling me?

The per-unit move that covers that trade's charges. On a cheap stock it is small; on an illiquid option premium it can be a large fraction of the premium itself, which is why the same nominal stop behaves differently across instruments.
