What this calculator answers
A working list of the household admin that decides how hard a bad day gets: is the emergency fund real, does the cover survive a job change, do nominations exist, does a will exist and does someone know where. Tick, mark N/A, assign and date.
How it is calculated
Pick a section, click a line to cycle To do → Done → N/A, and add an owner, due date or note. Progress is counted as handled (done or N/A) over all items. The share link encodes the checklist into the URL.
A checklist structures the work; it is not legal or tax advice. For wills and succession, a lawyer sees what a checklist cannot.
Common questions
Where is my progress stored?
In this browser's local storage, on this device only. The share link encodes it in the URL — whoever opens the link loads the same state, but nothing ever sits on a server.
What does N/A mean?
You decided the item does not apply to your household. It counts as handled so the progress bar stays honest.
Can two people share one checklist?
Share the link — the other person's browser loads your state and saves their own copy. There is no live sync; the last exported link wins.
Is this legal advice for wills?
No. The will section tells you to have one, update it and tell someone where it is — drafting it is a lawyer's job.
