Report

Financial health report

The 5-minute checkup, your portfolio X-Ray and your goals, composed into one honest, printable report — gaps marked, nothing guessed, nothing stored.

Your inputs

Everything stays in this browser — nothing is sent to a server. Leave anything out; the report marks the gaps instead of guessing.

    Data quality & assumptions

    Missing or assumed:

    • monthly expenses
    • emergency savings total
    • monthly take-home income
    • existing term cover
    • monthly loan EMIs
    • regular vs direct plan answer
    • trades per month
    • checkup answer: monthly take-home income
    • checkup answer: monthly expenses
    • checkup answer: emergency savings total
    • checkup answer: monthly loan EMIs
    • checkup answer: existing term cover
    • checkup answer: regular vs direct plan answer
    • checkup answer: trades per month
    • portfolio import (optional — allocation and measured fee drag stay blank without it)
    • at least one asset figure (portfolio import, emergency savings or other assets)
    • outstanding loan balances (assumed ₹0 for net worth — enter them to correct it)
    • statement / as-of date (optional, stamps the report)
    • at least one goal (optional — goal funding stays blank without it)

    How the numbers are made:

    • Term cover target = 10× annual take-home income (a widely used rule of thumb, not a regulator norm).
    • Emergency buffer target = 6 months of expenses; 3 months reads as the minimum viable level.
    • Goal maths: future target = today's cost × (1 + inflation)^years at the goal preset's inflation; existing savings grow at the preset return; the required SIP compounds monthly at the same rate.
    • No portfolio imported — allocation and measured fee drag are blank rather than guessed.
    • Outstanding loan balances were not entered, so net worth assumes ₹0 debt (EMIs measure the monthly flow, not what is still owed).
    • Nothing you enter is sent to a server — the report is assembled in your browser and persists only on this device.
    • Educational starting point, not personalised advice: no buy/sell or product recommendations.

Educational starting point, not personalised advice — the report runs standard rules of thumb on the figures you enter and recommends nothing. Reconciliation: emergency, cover, debt, fee and broker numbers come from the same scorers as the 5-minute checkup, the portfolio X-Ray and the goal planner, so the totals match those tools exactly.

Data basis: Live calculation on your inputs, entirely in your browser; the portfolio sections read only what you imported on this device. Nothing is uploaded or stored on a server.

    What this calculator answers

Enter what you know — income, expenses, emergency savings, EMIs, cover, and optionally the portfolio already imported on this device — and get one printable report: net worth snapshot, insurance gap vs the 10× rule, debt load, emergency-buffer months, measured fee drag and each goal's funded percentage, with a ranked review-first list and every gap stated rather than guessed.

    How it is calculated

The report composes three existing scorers verbatim: the money-checkup lights (emergency months, cover vs 10× income, EMI share, regular-plan leak, trade frequency), the portfolio X-Ray (allocation and TER-weighted fee drag on holdings that publish one) and the goal planner's inflation-and-SIP maths with each goal preset's rates. Sections only render when their inputs exist; the status rule flags complete, partial, or needs-review when entered figures contradict each other.

Term cover target is the 10×-income rule of thumb and the buffer target is 6 months of expenses — planning heuristics, not norms. Goal targets inflate at the preset rates; outstanding debt uses the balance you enter, assumed ₹0 when blank. Educational only: no buy/sell or product recommendations.

    Common questions

    Where is my data stored?

In this browser only. Inputs persist in local storage so you can resume, the share link encodes them into the URL, and nothing is ever sent to a server.

Do I have to fill everything?

No. The report renders from partial inputs and prints an explicit list of what is missing — a blank section is shown as blank, never estimated.

Why does it say 'needs review'?

Entered figures contradict each other — for example expenses or EMIs larger than income. Fix the two figures and the report computes normally.

Do the totals match the other tools?

Yes by construction: the report calls the same checkup scorer, the same portfolio X-Ray and the same goal planner, and tests pin that the numbers reconcile exactly.
