Buy/sell only at your price or better.
A limit order sits in the book until the market reaches your price. You control the price but not the fill — in a fast rally your buy limit may never trigger. The workhorse order type for delivery investors who refuse to chase.
Example
You limit-buy at ₹950 while the stock trades ₹960 — you buy only on a dip to ₹950.
